Lace Day in L.A.!

Saturday, November 1, 2008 was a great day for lacers in the Southern California area. It was the 24th Annual Lace Day in L.A.! Let me show you some of the highlights.

It was put on by the

Freeway Lace Guild

There was BEADS GALORE!!!

Tatter's CANDY!

She's my favorite tatting angel.

This is her secret box o'tatting stash

(kits that go with the "Victorian Christmas"

tatting books).

As I walked away from her booth I said,
"Thanks, Lily, you're my tatting Angel!"
She said with a wink,
"NO! I'm your tatting enabler!"

Truer words were never spoken.
We had a good laugh at that.

Thanks for going to Lace Day in L.A. with me! I was exhausted after, LOL! How about you? That was another long one, wasn't it! The vendors were fabulous and it was fun. There were drawings and a lecture on the history of lace through the ages. Did you know that back in the 1400's that handmade lace was a form of currency? Gosh, I wish it was now, I'd be RICH! LOL! :)

It was so much fun to see friends from my lace guild and meet new people. I even met a "friend" from eTatters that we have left messages for online about each other's tatting and we met by happenstance at the Lace Show! Hi Nita! ;)

It was a fun day...wish you could've come with me! No, really, I do!
