"I Was Strolling Through The Blogs One Day...

In the merry merry month of May ...er...June...I mean July
I was taken by surprise
By a giveaway that caught my eyes!
In the merry merry month of July!"

How many of you remember that silly song from childhood called "While Strolling Through The Park One Day"? :) If you are not familiar with it I embedded a video from You Tube for your song learning pleasure. This little ditty above is meant to be sung to that tune, LOL!

Thank you, DiversiTune!

Ya gotta love that bouncing ball that shows you what words to sing and when! I have to admit, though, the cadence of the song makes it almost lullaby~ish. I'm used to the tune being sung with much more vim and vigor. You know, it's usually a little faster than this version here (but it gives you the idea if you are not familiar with this song).

~*~

Okay, back to my little ditty at the
start of this blog post. I know it's corny! LOL!
I've only claimed that I love to write poetry.
(See my blogger profile)
I never said I was any good at it, LOL!

***

So, here are some things I spied
while strolling through the blogs one day!

***

I found my way to a
Mad Tea Party
that was hosted by the lovely
Vanessa Valencia of A Fanciful Twist.

One of the party goers was
Chrisy of Sophism Press!
Later, I was surprised to see that I won this

Chrisy is a talented artist!
She also sent this lovely print
of her own artwork called "Star Gazing"It is available in her Etsy Shop
called Artdecadence .

Thank you, Chrisy!

***

Next, I strolled over to Angela's
at The Country Cellar! I was surprised to see that
I won this toile apron!
I think that toile is such a pretty fabric!
That pocket is perfect to slip some tatting into!
Thank you, Angela!

***
Okay, 2 APRONS in less than one month?
What is the universe trying to tell me?
That I need to start cooking more?
***
Next to be spied on my travels
was the Uber Amazing Blog Award from Snap!
Thank you, Snap from Tales From Twisty Lane!

The Uber (synonym to Super) Amazing Blog Award is a blog award given to sites who:
- Inspire you
- Make you smile and laugh, or maybe give amazing information
- A great read
- Has an amazing design
- Any other reasons you can think of that make them Uber amazing!

The rules of this award are:
- Put the logo on your blog or post.
- Nominate at least 6 blogs
- Let them know that they have received this Uber Amazing award by commenting on their blog.
- Share the love and link to this post and to the person you received your award from.

Who to share it with? This is never easy!
There are TOO many people to share it with.
I will share this award with:

1) Bella from Bella Sinclair

2) Ces from Ces and Her Dishes

3) Carolyn from Draffin Bears

It's only 3-I'm cheating! Shhhh!
Don't tell the blog award rules police!

No, wait I think I may just give it away
to the 2 people I just won giveaways from!
YES!
That gives me 2 more peeps.

4) Chrisy from Sophism Press

5) Angela from The Country Cellar

Okay that's 5...I'm getting closer.
Can you see how painful this picking
award winners is for me?
(I just don't want anyone to feel left out!)

I could just give it back to Snap!
Yeah! Snap, ;) right back atcha bloggy pal!
Okay that makes winner #6!
Well, watta ya know? I stuck with
the rules anyhow! LOL!

***

The final award was found when
I strolled on over to Ces'
place at Ces and Her Dishes
She mentioned to me that she had
an award for me!Thank you, Ces!

Here is what Ces has to say about
The Bella Sinclair Award:

"I designed this award to celebrate art in the blogs and to honor the value of friendship, sisterhood, sharing and caring. It is to be awarded to the gifted, accomplished, eloquent and talented blogger whose friendship and influence inspire us to do our best. That I named it after Bella Sinclair is because she epitomizes all of these things. She is an inspiration to many of us."

She also says,

"Ces created the Bella Sinclair Award in honor of Bella Sinclair exceptional woman and brilliant artist who epitomizes the concept of the artist as inspiration, of sisterhood, caring and sharing. It is symbolized by the Quercus lobata or Valley Oak, a handsome and graceful tree with a sturdy trunk, upto 5 ft in diameter and 120 feet tall, the largest western deciduous oak"

Some of you may recall that Bella Sinclair
and I are good friends and participated
in a friendship exchange earlier this year!
I am deeply honored that Ces would share
this award with me! You see Bella has
gone through a difficult time recently with
the loss of her dear husband only days before
a transcontinental move. I'd like to encourage
my blog friends to go to her blog post
about it here and offer your support.

*

I would like to share this award with
Enlightened By Angels
Okay, okay, I know she's my niece and everything.
Some of you may even see this as blatant nepotism :x
...and it very well may be, LOL! However,
I do think that in the short time (and two posts)
that she has been blogging with us she has
quickly embraced the value of friendships
in blogging and the sharing and caring that
exists amongst us here in blogland.
Go visit her blog! I think you'll agree!

So, Enlightened By Angels, I hope
you go and start "spreadin' the love" some more by
sharing this award with other bloggers!

~*~

Thank you for strolling with me through the blogs today! Ya know, it sure seems like I win a lot of blog giveaways. Is it just me that thinks that? Why do you think that is? Do I have extremely good luck? I wish I had this kind of fabulous luck in my 3-D life, LOL! Some of you have suggested that I buy lottery tickets. I want you to know that I'm seriously considering it, LOL! How would it be! What would you do if YOU won the lottery? I know I'd buy more tatting thread, (tee hee)!

Oh, I have a poll you can click on. It's at the top of my right sidebar {which becomes the top of the footer (bottom of blog) when you're on the main page of this blog}. I did the same poll when I first started this blog, but I'm doing it again just for fun!

So, as you continue on your stroll through the blogs in the merry merry month of May June July I'd love to hear from you, too!

Sincerely,

XOXO

Haha! Oh what a fun post! I like how you introduced this. I am so impatient and I hardly watch videos. In fact when I embed music on my post I cut the video part and just display the music bar. But Here I am in bed singing at 10:14 PM.

Hahah! The aprons! I have one apron but my favorite is my daughter's apron that she made when she was in kindergarted for herself because is like a long bib for me.

Thank you for the award. I will post it on my blog and spread it. Look at the super super wonderful company I have on the list!

Giving the award to your niece is not nepotism. I give a lot of awards to Bella and she is my sister-friend.

Thank you very much!!!

Hi Ces! I'm glad you stopped by! So, you know how to cut out the vid part? How do you just leave the music bar? I MUST KNOW!!! LOL! Maybe you could make a tutorial on your blog on how to do it? Or would you be kind enough to direct me to a link that teaches that? I soooooo want to learn how to do that! Sometimes I've just wanted to post a sound on a blog post in just the right spot, LOL! For humor or effect, you know?
Okay, I am begging? No? You are very welcome for the award and thank YOU for the Bella Sinclair award (again, I thank you)! Thanks for the kind word about the non-nepotismistic award giving to my niece! LOL!

Hi Judy! Thank you for strolling with me, LOL! I agree about not having too many aprons...that is until they don't fit in the "apron drawer" anymore! I do have some cute ones and will gladly add these to the "collection".

Hi Lady Shuttlemaker! I am very glad to make you laugh, thank you! Thanks also for the very sweet comment about my winnings. I am very fortunate to win them, but also very blessed to have you for a bloggy friend!

Hi Shannon! Thanks so much, I'm glad that the post made you chuckle! We all could really use a little sunshine and giggles in our day, couldn't we? Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a great weekend, too!

Thanks for sharing the video! It brings back memories of going to Shakey's Pizza Parlor and watching Sing Along With Mitch.

Two aprons! Lovely prizes, but I'm not sure having more aprons would inspire me to cook... I'm not sure anything would inspire me to cook!

Congratulations on your wins!

Hi Kathleen Grace! I LOVE the Aprons that you make! You make darling ones and I know that your aprons were featured in that Somerset publication of "Apronology" so I know you really "know your aprons", LOL! Love it! Thanks for visiting!

Ha ha! Thanks Lace-lovin' librarian! That is a cute memory. Don't ya love the bouncing ball thing? That always cracks me up for some reason! Thanks on the apron wins!

Very clever comment, Twyla! I love it. Well, I am so glad that you strolled on over here and visited for a minute!

Thank you, Gerry! I really appreciate your comment. I was afraid it was going to be a "yawner"...ya know, boooooooring! Thanks for the validation. :)

Ha ha, Snap! It was meant to give you a chuckle, LOL! I do appreciate the award. I literally edited that in after the fact, LOL!

Hi Lace hearts! Thanks on the aprons!
Oh, a convertible! I would love a convertible, too! I would buy a convertible to drive to the store to buy tatting thread, LOL!

Thanks, Kim! I'm glad you like the new background. It is the one background that I thought would NOT look good with my header because of the aqua...and whadda ya know...it looked okay! Thanks on the congrats, too.

Hi Sharon! Thank you so much for visiting. I am glad you did! I hope you come back again and again! Oatmeal sounds like the perfect thing to wear an apron for! Wait...what if it's INSTANT oatmeal? Wouldn't that be funny?

LOL, Tattrldy! I love your rationale. Yes, appearances are EVERYTHING! We must keep up appearances, LOL!

Thank you, Elyse! Actually, I had never heard of the book to my knowledge! Thank you so much for sharing that with me! I will look for it. So, did you check out the chapter on tatting??? Hmmmmm? LOL!

Thank you so much for the award! and for including a link to the definition of nepotism. lol I will have to call you so that you can walk me through how I post the award on my blog.

HI! I am a sometimes tatter as well as a bunch of other thread and crafty-type activities.

I found your blog today while looking for tatting blogs to link on mine. I LOVE your blog- it is really a delight to read!- and hope you don't mind that I listed it on my sidebar as a tatting blog to visit!

I love youtube song videos and this one is terrific. I am old enough to remember when they played these sing-a-longs during the cartoons after school, so it was nostalgic as well as fun.

Great blog!

Hi Yarnjourney! Glad you like the aprons. I think they are cute and I'm lucky to have won them! I'm glad you liked the music!

Hi Enlightened By Angels. Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you thought the post was fun. I'm always afraid I'm going to bore people to death with my giveaway winnings and my awards, LOL! Grandma has yellow paint w/ blue and white accents akin to the blue delft china and tiles. She loved blue delft. I can see how you thought it was toile. They both have people/figures in the images. You are welcome for the award and I hope you enjoy it and meeting more fabulous blog people in blogland! ((Hugs))!! :)

Hi Carolyn! Thank you! I'm glad you stopped by! Yes, I will have to do some cooking with those aprons, LOL! You deserve the award! I enjoy visiting your blog and your visits here to mine!

What's for dinner, Ann? Drive through McDonald's??? Ewwww! Okay, just tonight there is some veggies and a fruit and maybe a bagel, LOL! I'm not very hungry and I don't have both the aprons yet, LOL!

Hey Ces, I'm excited about that tutorial! Woo Hoo! I love learning new bloggy things! Thanks for your help! You are awesome!

Welcome, Lady Doc! Thank you for stopping by and saying hello! I'm glad you did. I would love to be added to your blogroll, thank you! You are welcome to come back anytime. Happy tatting and welcome to the online tatting "family"! :)

Thank you also for the kind award...and for the links to all the other lovely bloggers....your music reminded me of being a child and going to the local hall to sing along with the 'bouncing ball'!

Hi Lady Doc, gosh, when I post date a blog post it just ends up being "scheduled" and doesn't show up until the date and time on the posting date and time shown...does that make sense? Oh, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, but please do not call me "TC", thank you! You can call me TattingChic and if that seems to long some people call me Chiclet or Chic, but please not TC, thank you (sorry, I don't mean to embarass anyone, but I have to say it or EVERYONE will be calling me that and I can't have that, LOL!) That said, please do continue to come back and visit! It's always so nice to welcome a new tatting blogger to the online tatting community! You will find a lot of friendly and supportive people here online!

Hi Chrisy! I'm glad you found your way over here during this busy time! Thanks again for the apron and the print. I'm glad you accept the award! I'm also glad to have posted something that brings back a happy childhood memory for you! That sounds like a lot of fun! I've always loved those songs with the bouncing ball on the lyrics...too cute!

Hi Martha! Thanks for visiting! I've already sent an email off to you so you should hopefully have it by now!
