You Will Be Showered With Good Luck

That's what the fortune cookie I opened up had to say when I opened it up earlier this week.
You don't believe me, you say?
Well, here's the evidence.
~

~
And good luck has begun to drizzle and I'm hoping for a full on down pour.
~

Because I WON! I WON! I WON!
~
What did I win you ask?
~
Why, the Cider Antiques Cottage Charm Giveaway held on May 31, 2008, that's what!
~
But it was held on the 31st of last month...
Why am I crowing about it NOW
on June 6th?
~
Well, the winner was chosen
and
believe it or not
she NEVER claimed her prize.
So, a new WINNER was chosen!
And that winner was me!
Yippeeeee!!!
~
Thank you Karen at
She really has a nice blog about
vintage linens n' things.
I highly recommend you check it out.
Just for fun.
Ya know, kicks.
~
She sent me some pics with her permission to show you all what I won.
Wasn't that sweet of her?
~

~

~

~

~

Aren't they the sweetest vintagey things?
There's even a collar with a blue and white tatted edging.

SWEET!!!

Well, this concludes my typed celebration of winning and the beginning of a new phase in my life
"Being Showered With Good Luck" just like the little fortune cookie says. The inner celebrations will continue on all day and well into the evening and at least until I receive my fabulous vintage lineny wonderful prize. I'll be sure to share a pic or two when it arrives.

~
Thank you for visiting my blog today. Hey, watta ya think, if ya leave a comment then maybe some of that good luck will rub off on you, too? I say there's enough good luck to go around.

Ta~ta for now,
TattingChic :)
(giggles)

Added EDIT: Someone just brought to my attention today that my post about bookmarks for the May Bookmark Exchange were mentioned on Bookmark Collector back in may. Whoo Hooo. The good luck continues. Now I am right up there with our beloved Lace-Lovin'-Librarian, Diane! What a great honor!

Hi Pamela, thanks for visiting. The four photos in the middle of the blog post are all the items I won. Karen from Cider Antiques sent me pics via email and gave me permission to post them. Nice of her to do that, isn't it?

Thank you so much for your nice words, Linda. I really enjoy the blog and it's so nice to be appreciated. I can't tell you how much that means to me. Thank you, again. You're a sweetie. :)

Tatskool said...

Yes silly me! of course you did say that these were the things you had won, guess it was hard to see what the tatted item was.
They are all gorgeous.

Woo Hoo you are a lucky girl today!!!
Those items are beeutiful!!Y'all are so very talented!!
Have a wonderful weekend and may your luck continue!!

Unknown said...

Hi Pamela, the tatted item, sadly is the only one that doesn't have a closeup shot of it. It's on the top of the 4 "winning loot" photos in the upper left hand corner. Unfortunately I don't know how to make that one enlarge if you click on it.

Vintage Girl at Heart, thank you for you compliments and well wishes. I'm so glad you came for another visit.

Hi Verito. Thank you very much for your thoughtful comment and well wishes. I appreciate it and am indeed blessed.

Thank you for your very nice thoughts, Clyde. It's always a pleasure to have you come by. I think it's important to acknowledge each visitor.Thank you for recognizing that and appreciating it.

Kathy, so glad you popped in for a visit! Thanks for the congrats. Ya know, it's kinda hard to tell from the photo as I don't have the actually goodies yet...the teacup looks like it has rosettes of steam coming out of it and it looks like the teacup was made in a 3-D fashion to hold the first little rosette of steam...that's what it looks like to me. Isn't it sweet? I'll get a different pic of it and describe it once they arrive.

Hi Sherry from Edie Marie's Attic! Thank you for your visit and sweet compliments, especially on the last doily. I think the person who designed the edge of that doily made the points look like little crowns, don't you? I enjoyed your front porch party very much, thanks for having me by, even tho' I was a day late...LOL.

Thank you so much, Sherry our very own Lady Shuttle Maker! I appreciate your kind words and I'm sure the good luck will rub off...like I said, there's plenty to go around!

Linda said...

Oh, you lucky lucky ducky! I wanted that teacup towel so badly! LOL! Send me a pic so I can drool over it.

You know, I always wonder how they let you know if you don't have an email listed? Guess that's one way to get you to check their blog every day.
:-) Gina

Unknown said...

Hi Gina, thanks for visiting! That tea towel with the teacup on it is adorable, isn't it. I'm so excited because I have pink appliances...LOL...so it'll go perfect in my kitchen. I'll post close up pics on my blog of that and the tatted edging on the linen collar. I found out because Karen from Cider Antiques left a comment in my last post, so nice of her (but, yes, I did check her blog the day of the giveaway).

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. It looks like you won absolutely beautiful vintage linens. I love them. I am going to use the tatted piece I purchased on a layout of my Grandmother who tried really really hard to teach me to tat and believe me I tried too, but I was all thumbs :)
