Happy International Friendship Day!!!

Did you know that the first Sunday of August is International Friendship Day? ...and did you also know that the U.S. Congress declared it so in the year 1935? Well ya do now! (It is, unless you're from Argentina or Uruguay where Friendship Day is celebrated every July 20th and has been since the year 1969.) Happy International Friendship Day! I'm not sure why the U.S. Congress decided that they were the declarers of International Friendship Day (LOL), nonetheless, they did and so it is.

In honor of this special occasion I tatted a heart

just for you, my friends.

Here it is!

Motif #10 I Heart My Friends!

This little heart is the clover drop heart pattern from Be~Stitched. It was tatted in DMC Perle' size 8 #3689. It will count as Motif #10 for the 25 Motif Challenge.

That's right! I do heart you and all my other

wonderful friends online and offline...LOL!

Thank you for being wonderful and supportive,

fun and encouraging, and most of all,

Thank YOU for being YOU!

Through the internet I have been able to become

acquainted with wonderful people

(tatters and non-tatters alike).

From all over the USA to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Korea,

Australia, Canada, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Malaysia,

Germany, Singapore, Ireland, England, France...

...you name it...

I've "been there" and visited with some wonderful,

creative people like you who have enriched

my life and kept me company and taught me about

your cultures and intelligent and generous creativity

through your blogs or emails or both.

Now, as to my off-line life, today is my friend's birthday....hmmmm....I am low on the funds with which to buy a gift. She has mentioned to me that she wants to learn to tat someday so maybe I'll give her this heart so she'll have something from me AND maybe it will stoke her desire to learn to tat a little bit enough to prompt her to actually learn....bwah ha ha ha (rubbing hands together) we'll see if my evil plan works...LOL! What do you think?

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a fabulous Friendship Day and a lovely week in general. Comments are always appreciated. I read each and everyone of them.

Caio for now!

TattingChic :)

(or chic~lette, or chic-a-dee, those are some cute nick-names my friends have given me)

Hello, Constance of Rochambeau, I've enjoyed your amazing artistry in your blogging. Thank you!

That's funny, Wicked Tats, because
chiclets are a brand of gum here. It's a really OLD brand of gum and hard to find anymore...LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
