I won! I won! I won!

It's true!

Noreen had a giveaway to celebrate her 2 year blog-a-versary.
She had all sorts of tatting related items as giveaway prizes.
There was even
THIS...

...a Lady Hoare style shuttle
that Noreen handcarved herself.
The winner was chosen last Sunday night.
If you commented on her blog you were entered in her drawing.
I commented 4 times.
Can you tell I really, really, really, really wanted to win it?
One of those 4 times was the 2nd comment.
Number 2 was drawn.
I'm so excited!
I can hardly wait to get it!
If you've been following this blog you may have noticed that
I like shuttles...
...a LOT!
I think they're cute
and I really don't know why.
They just are.
THANK YOU, NOREEN!!!
Thank you for letting me share my good news with you. Please come again soon to visit!
I treasure your comments.
((hugs)),
TattingChic
P.S. If you entered one of Noreen's many giveaway items and are feeling bummed that you didn't win (or even if you did win and want more) she has 2 unclaimed prizes. If the winners don't respond by midnight (not sure about the time zone) tonight, Wednesay, August 6, 2008 she will be drawing again! Hmmmm....a second chance for you to win some tatted earrings.
Click here for the blog post about that. I'm not sure if she's using the names from the comments already left or if she's including new comments for the entries for the new drawing, but I do know that she is really good about responding by email to comments if you leave your email in the correct field of the comment box.

Congratulations TC! Judging from the number of times you entered, I'm not surprised that you won. I'm not bitter! I guess I should have entered more than once. Congratulations again, you deserve it.

Thank you, Becky! What a sweet thing to say!

Hi Tara! My philosophy is that there is plenty of good luck to go around for everyone if it's welcomed in to life. There it is. So you can have as much good luck that you would like! :)
((hugs)) and happy tatting!

That's fantastic - you are definitely the right person for that special shuttle. I think it had your name written all over it from the word go!

Congratulations TC, since you don't have very many shuttles you certainly deserved this one. LOL
Have fun with it!

Unknown said...

Thanks for the congrats, Yarnplayer! That heart in the middle is really sweet, Noreen did a nice job on that.

Thanks for the tip, Celestina la rea rose! I ran right over to sign up. Thanks for the sweet comment.

Thank you so much for your congrats, Kathy! I appreciate the comment. BTW, you can call me chiclet or chic or chic-a-dee. For some reason I don't really like "TC" that well, but I recognize the shortening as a friendly thing. Thank you,
((hugs))

I didn't know you don't like being called "TC". Any particular reason, Chiclet?

Nerm said...

Way to go! I just know you will create beautiful things with that special shuttle. Aren't surprises fun? Nerm

Tracy said...

HOORAY, Chic! Congrats on your absolutely beautiful win! Can't wait to see what you'll make with that lovely...Happy weekend, my friend ((HUGS))

Hi Jeff, I know, it's the funniest thing isn't it? I even recognize the nickname as a term of endearment, but I just cringe when I see it....I really don't know why...LOL! In any case thank you for respecting that AND I'm soooooo glad you commented. I hope you take it as a compliment that I felt comfortable enough to tell you directly, because it is! Happy tatting and thank you.

Hi Nerm, yes, surprises are fun! This was indeed a surprise. I never expected in a million years that I'd win. I even started to wonder if I did the right thing posting about the giveaway when it was going on because there were 98 comments!!! I thought "way to go, I just blew my chances!". Chance is a funny thing. Thank you.

Hi Tracy,
Thank you for your congrats! You have a happy day and I will be sure to post when I get the shuttle and whatever I make with it, dear friend.

Pat said...

Hi Mia, Thanks for stopping by and for your comment!

Shell said...

thank you for the comments on my blog. you're very lucky to have won the shuttle. i love the bird ones she has. I haven't tatted much lately. it requires a lot of time and concerntration. that and I just have too many things I want to do at once!! my little girl had her hands in bandages as she has severe eczema and her hands were in a bad way and had lots of infection so just trying to keep them clean and the infection contained. you have some really lovely work.

Unknown said...

Hi Shell! Thanks for stopping by. You must have your hands full with that little cutie pie of a daughter of yours. So sorry to hear about the eczema. How uncomfortable that must be for her. Thanks for the visit and the comment! Do come again!

Thank you, Chris! I'm so glad you came to visit.

Hi Suzie, thanks for the congrats. A tatting shuttle is just something that holds the thread so you can tat. A person could use a ball of thread for their shuttle if it was small enough to fit between their fingers and the thread loops you have to make. It doesn't do anything special except hold the thread...I'm repeating myself! LOL! I'm glad you said something as I'm sure you're not the only one who doesn't know what a shuttle is or does in tatting.
:)

(((((((((HI TattingChic)))))))) I've missed you too. I am finally getting to some older e-mails. I have been mia, this summer. I have been so busy with my kids activities. (Katrina is 16 and in marching band, so band camp has been going on, which takes up a lot of time as I volunteer my time to help where I can with the boosters. My son is 13 and has football training now too, plus I watch my 7 year old niece.) So I am way behind in e-mails and reading everyone's blogs. I don't know if I'll be able to go back and catch up on everything from the past month though. Thanks for thinking of me.

Congratulations on winning such an interesting shuttle. Do you have a rabbits foot or what, maybe a genie in lamp. LOL!!! I'm happy for you. A few years ago I won a raffle too and it was a very unique handmade shuttle. It was called a mood shuttle, as it had a mood stone on the top of the shuttle that changes colors when you hold it, like blue or if you are cold, it turns green. I'll take a picture sometime and post it on my site. It was made by Kathy Kirchner -http://www.lacebobbins.com/KathyKirchner.html#Shuttles she also has a very nice pattern for a tatted bag necklace.

I have not had time to do much tatting this summer. I hope to get started again soon.

So back to the shuttle you won, it is very nice and will be good for a project with lots of beads. Thanks for pointing out Hankering for Yarn site, I had not seen it before and just went there to check it out. There is so much to see, I'll go back again to see what other interesting things she has on her site.

Take Care,

Carol

Oh, Amy at Bunny Rose Cottage, that is such a sweet thing to say! I really appreciate it!

Thank you, Thimbleanna! I will use the shuttle, too! I'll be sure to post whatever I make with it as well.

Hi Carol! It's soooooooo good to have you back! I'm glad you were busy with fun kid things. You sound like a very devoted mother and aunt to be helping out with all those activities.
A mood shuttle, wow, that sounds interesting! Thanks for the link. THat is so cool that you won something like that. There are some fun shuttles out there nowadays. I'm glad.
You know I didn't think about this particular shuttle being good for beads, but it is! I have done the very challenging tatting with beads on a boye shuttle (bobbin style) and boye oh boye, it wasn't fun. This shuttle would be more doable for that! Thanks! Hope to see you around more often!
((hugs))
